The RC Sarandi is planning to get an equipment : Multidisciplinary echotomagraphy premium quality.
This device allows the visualization of deep structures of the body by recording the reflections of echoes pulses from ultrasonic waves directed into the tissues and the use of ultrasound to visualize or diagnostic purposes. This equipment is going to be installed in the Presidente Perón Hospital, from Sarandí City.
The hospital receives requests from 4.000.000 people from different locations in Gran Buenos Aires. These patients are referred without social assistance of medical care, from hospital within the proper equipment, and they belong to a low social class.
The Presidente Perón Hospital provides to them necessary care, places to rest and food to patient's familiy.
The addition of this equipment in the hospital, would prevent many surgeries and reduce the diagnostic time. It also will start the advocacy and promotion of health persuasion to captivate the community interest in decreasing the lack of economic resources, poverty and ignorance for those who have no access to health studies. Apart from that, it will prevent or foresee serious diseases which needs to be timely treated for their preventions, such as in the case of densitometry, bone loss or the opportunity to take care of fractures or diseases such as arthritis, rheumatism, or bone softening, and in the case of mammography, an early diagnosis of breast cancer.
