Trinity Mission School and Children Home which was established in the year by Rotarian's volunteers in 2008 after the post election violence that saw many families displaced, killed and many children became orphans.
The objective of the school is assisting orphans, destitute children, vulnerable children, children with disabilities, rescue Masai girls from female genital cutting (FGC) and early marriages.
Currently the school accommodates 300 Children.
The bus will provide transport to over 70 children with disabilities at Gilgil Community. Children with disabilities in this community do not have access to education because they cannot afford to walk for long distances. The bus will pick the children from their homes and drop them in the evening. The bus will also be used to transport the sick children to hospital and for physiotherapy.
Many people with children with disability see it as a curse. Many of these children are locked in the houses or at times killed.
The bus will have features and facilities to transport children with disability.
