The grave situation in the Gaza Strip and the massive needs of the 1.8 million population following the recent conflict needs our immediate assistance.
Overall Objective: Providing basic psycho-social support and rehabilitation for Children , mothers and educators in the area of Al Shajaiyeh area (Gaza strip) who were affected by the recent conflict.
Specific Objective: To help Children and mothers "who faced the conflict and evictions in the Gaza-Al Shajaiyeh area" restore their normal life conditions through providing them with an integrated set of treatment and rehabilitation services "including psychiatric support and psychosocial assistance" and raising the local communities' awareness of their human rights.
The project intends to hold over 2000 individual therapy sessions, 50 group therapy sessions and 50 family therapy sessions over a period of 12 months.
The project intends to give Psychiatric support and medications for mothers and children who were effected by displacement and loss of family members free of charge.
The project intends to hold 5 therapeutic camps for 100 children each from the target location.
The project will provide a public awareness campaign to be launched in neighborhoods where the project activities will be realized in order to raise awareness on human rights issues.
Total Cost of the project is $199,050. Out of which the Rotary club of Albireh will contribute $2,500.
