Feed the Babies is an N.P.O. which focuses on providing food security to approximately 300 pre-school facilities in rural Kwa Zulu Natal. Their current scheme feeds approximately 9000 children a year. Whilst these facilities fill a community need in as much as they are a safe place to leave children the carers have very little education. The base-line assessments, made during on-site visits by Feed the Babies , has shown a need for the carers to be trained in general hygiene and first aid and the rudimentary principles of Early Childhood Development focusing on the education benefits of stimulation in young children. Our proposed project will assist them by providing this training along with a basic First aid kit and basic tools for assisting in educational stimulation
