Project Description Region: South America Country: Brazil Location: Terra Rica- Parana Total Budget: $30,100 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Brief Description: Laboratory NISS II Terra Rica is a Municipal institution with a humanitarian quality which serves a population of 17.000 inhabitants, geographically spread in the Northeast , Paraná State, Brazil. In this area, it is a reference for its good results helping Doctors in saving lives and improving the health of mothers and children ( "Mãe Paranaense Project) in a combined action: through discovering and doing exams, for free, to all Terra Rica's population including High Risk Pregnancy Work and Neo natal Equipments . It's been 24 years since it's were acquired apparatus for laboratory and nowadays they can still find the same devices in operation, resulting in degraded performance and even concern for the professionals who work. They cannot support anymore the number of exams that Doctors ask for, they need another new equipments and more modern laboratory apparatus Partners To buy the necessary equipments the Laboratory NISS II needs financial support. So, it asks this Club a donation. We thank you because the funds provided by you will help Lab NISS-II achieve one of it's main purposes wich is to improve Terra Rica's Population quality health.
