On previous years the Rotary Club Valle Interoceánico equipped and financed through matching grants, medical equipments for the operation of the Medical Center in Cumbayá (Quito). In the meantime new equipment is required to be able to offer additional service to this underserved Community. low-income population with poverty status, especially children and young mothers wiil benefit of the increased capabilities this additional equipment will offer in terms of accurate and faster diagnose and improved follow-up of the patients.
This additional items comprises: 1) The necessary upgrading of the existent X-Ray machine; 2) Ultrasound equipment; 3) necessary software for Telemedicine.
Timeline : 3 (three) months.
The project funds will be used for the purchase of the three items above.
Club members will be involved in selecting suppliers, preparing the purchase orders and supervising the installation.
Additonally, the Rotarians will inform the Community of the new services that will be available in the Cumbayá Medical Center.

Project funds from TRF have been transferred to the RC of Santa Rosa. The equipments (two dialysis machines have been ordered. Delivery of the machines is scheduled for this week. Installation of the machines, govt. authorization etc. will be carried out and we hope the Dialysis Clinic be operational by June 2015.
