Soke, a town located in the province of Aydin, Turkey, has a total population of 100,000 and 300,000 people with its surrounding villages. It has a large agricultural land and it is one of the biggest cotton producing area of Turkey.
There is one government hospital and there is a lot of young population. The hospital has 260 beds and it has 2,500 patients per day. In each month there is around 150 birth.
The hospital needs Birthing Beds but unfortunately there is no Birthing Bed. Patients ans caregivers need this as it delivers safety for a better birthing. Also it has additional back saving features like the no lift Stow and Go foot section and ergonomic push handles which gives patients more comfort.
So as Soke Rotary club we decided to maintain this with a matching grant project. The cost of the bed is 36,000 USD.
