Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Community economic development
The broad objective of this project is to procure and set up a complete Color Doppler lab with Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital and Research Institute (ICHRI), with appropriate operational and maintenance plan, with a view to facilitate and strengthen diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases for the people of Bangladesh that encompasses Rotary's two Areas of Focus: a.Disease Prevention and Treatment for reducing causes and effects of cardiac diseases by - i.Enhancing the infrastructure of Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital and research Institute (ICHRI); ii.Facilitating the prevention and treatment through testing for proper counseling or referrals or admission to treatment; iii. Providing technical platform and training in its operation for the tracking and monitoring of disease diagnosis and treatment; iv.Improving the capacity of local health care professionals, that is also an objective of ICHRI through knowledge and skill development of its human resources and thus improving services continually; b. Economic and Community Development will be met to keep the people productive by keeping them healthy through prevention and treatment and as well reducing the death rate.
