Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Water, sanitation and hygiene
The need to create awarenees about diseases and ilnesses and behavioural changes such as washing hands and training the reasonsa why hygiene is important all along life of primary school children at ages between 5 to 9 so that they can do their living and their children living in cleanliness.The project has rennovation of the current old un hygiene school toilets and then training trainees section where the trained personel the volunteering teachers and parents implement the given know how to the children.Renovation work continue for 2 months at the targeted 4 schools and training plus observations take 9 months of training at monthly seminars to the school hygiene commitee and at site in the schools.This project has been implemented every year at 4 schools in the past 6 years at total of 16 schools which 12 of these schools were financed by global grants of GG25500,GG25962 and GG1412778 .Since Syrian crises ,Adana city has 346 primary schools where double shift training is applied in order to reach the demand of the refugee children school needs.
