Need of Project:
In Nepal, community schools, the government run schools are not equipped with computers. In this world of information technology, people from well to do families they send their children in private schools which provide computers for education in their classes. The students from poor families go to public or community schools which doesnot have computers. while living in same location there is a group of people who have exposure to computer and called computer literate and other are computer illiterate.
Solution for need:
Rotary Club of Dharan Ghopa has decided to run a project to provide computers for all community schools within 2 years. this year 30 computers were distributed for 7 schools. We need at least 100 computers with 20 printers and accessories in this year, so that students from poor families can also get computer education. There are 60 community schools in Dharan. Next half will be provided in next year .We are seeking support for this project. This will help the Rotary International's South Asia goal to provide education to all in 2017.
Project Cost for 100 computers and accessories
Desktop computers (5 each for 20) 100*600= 60000
Printers for 20 schools = 20*350= 7000
Networking and accessories 20* 300 = 6000
Internet connection for 1 year 20*300= 6000
Computer Lab Furnishing 20*500= 10000
Training for computer Teachers 2 from each school 2*20*250= 10000
