Problem Description :-

Any society cannot achieve real development if majority of its people particularly live in an unhealthy and unclean surroundings due to lack of access to safe water and sanitation. Poor water and sanitation facilities have many other serious repercussions. A direct link exists between water, sanitation and, health and nutrition and human well being .Consumption of contaminated drinking water, improper disposal of human excreta, lack of personal and food hygiene and improper disposal of solid and liquid waste have been major causes of many diseases in India and it is estimated that around 30 million people suffer from water related illnesses. Children particularly girls and women are the most affected.

Specific Objective:-

Our club KANGRA -3070 situated in the land of Lords and GODESS named Dev Bhumi- HIMACHAL PRADESH. Its a poorest city of our state and. As this city is land of LORDs so many temples have built here since 1800 BC. many pilgrims are visited these temples throughout the years but there is no sufficient facilities for neat and clean water; no toilets are there to the pilgrimage as well as to the local people of our locality. lack of toilets all pilgrimages are helpless and they use free space of the lands to go toilet.roads are not good, in rainy seasion allwhere water and water only, life is really hell here. Women often suffer from lack of privacy, harassment and need

to walk large distances to find a suitable place for defecation in the absence of household/appropriate neighbourhood toilet facilities. Real benefit will be for Senior citizen, women and children to improve quality of life in rural areas

its really matter of thinking that in this 21 Centaury people are going for toilet in open air. its really the samefull to our city to our government to our country.

here we Rotarians wants to do something good regarding this matter. we want to donate some water cooler with RO systems to the city for neat and clean water. we want to build common toilets with all facilities in the city, so pilgrimages and local people specially girls and ladies get the facility.

Thanking You,

Yours faithfully
