By implementing WinS program in schools, we shall make an effort to provide basic facilities such as Water & Sanitation in the schools. We shall educate students about the good hygiene habits and their benefits for them as well as community because 'Good health at school is essential for now and is an investment for the future'. Extra focus shall be there on the Girls ensuring separate toilets and urinals along with Menstrual Hygiene awareness.
We wish to undertake 12 schools having at least of 1500 students (totally), with minimum 30% girl students for overall WinS infrastructure development which includes installation of 20 water purifiers (2 in each school), install 20 group hand washing facilities with soap supply throughout the year (2 in each school 1 each for boys and girls), build and maintain 10 Toilet units comprising of 3 urinals and 1 toilet (1 in each school), build and maintain 20 toilets specific for girls (2 in each school)
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
