As we are on the verge of eradicating Polio by Yeomen service of we Rotarians, we also look forward to remove Illiteracy from the root so for this Basic Education is a must and only if organisation like our Rotary can step up and root out the illiteracy problem which is from ages and generation. So keeping in mind we have taken this Project to Eradicate Illiteracy from the root by taking the slum dwellers as our project, So we Rotarians have adopted a School and would like to give all the basic amenities for a child which they have been deceived from in their Childhood. Firstly we need benches and desks for the Children which is the basic need of the child and as it also the age of computers and as we already going paperless from this Year 2013-14, and accordingly our theme is Engage Rotary and Change lives, so we really can change the lives of these poor Slum Dwellers by Engaging ourselves for the cause. Without the facilities like well equipped Lab and not to forget the sports equipment and bringing the children to the school in School bus which is the Basic need and first priority, I think the Child has the right to all these Basic needs and facilities.

The immediate outcome will be that children will get education facility. as they are all slum dwellers & coming from a very low background, where education is totally neglected. and the long term outcome is that we can eradicate illiteracy from the root & the future of such children will be a boon to the society by the kind gesture of organisation like rotary international.

2. Explain how all involved parties will act to ensure the sustainability of the activity(ies) and/or outcomes.

As we have a very great example where rotary club of DONAUWORTH RI DISTRICT 1840 has started a same kind of project in our Bijapur District called "SNEHA SADAN" in a place called "KANKAL" & it has been running successfully for the last 11 years. and i think such projects speak for themselves regarding their sustainability.
