 MANO BIKASH KENDRA (for mentally retarded children): The word Mano Bikash means development or growth of mind. This is the only school for the mentally retarded children of Purulia District. At present it is being run by an NGO, who are unable to give the institution financial support. As a result the only institute for mentally retarded children in Purulia district is going to be shut down. Keeping in view “ROTARY SHARES” - Rotary Club of Purulia has come forward to adopt the institute. But which will be incomplete without the support of the Rotary World. The tenure of adaptation will be depend upon the support we get from the Rotary World. We can give a beautiful gift to the mentally retarded children this New Year. At present there are 60 students and the expenses per month is Rs. 30,000/- or US$ 750. The number of student could be increased up to 200. In such case the monthly expenses will raise to Rs. 60,000/- or US$ 1500. Let us look into their abilities not into their disabilities. |
