Stain's Home English Project

$22,550

Develop an ongoing non-classroom English one-on-one tutoring program for children and staff at an orphanage to give them a realistic conversational augmentation to their more limited classroom exposure to English. Employment opportuniyt in India increasingly requires English conversational ability. A poor youth who has English skills will be access many types of employment. This is ultimately a jobs project: to give children a major essential skill for finding income once they leave the protective environment of the orphanage.
