 We need the grant to supply the Hospitality home for Cancer children with the needed furniture and Equipment.
- The Hospitality building hosts cancer patients who are being treated by chemotherapy in Alexandria Hospitals.
The children are coming from 4 outlying cities and rural areas around Alexandria, and have no other place to stay during the treatment period as this treatment is not provided in their cities or villages.
- We provide free full accommodation, food, health care, psychological care, Library, and entertainment including parties, for children between 6 months age and 18 years old and a companion for every child.
- Those children and their companions used to stay the night on the hospital stairs during the treatment period before constructing the Hospitality House, as they were suffering from disease, poverty and homelessness.
- The Hospitality home now is being re-constructed using external funding because it became overcrowded with guests.
- We are expanding the home to rise it's capacity from 20 beds hosting 20 children + 20 Companions (one floor) to 70 beds hosting 70 Children + 70 Companions (3 floors),
- The first floor will contain a Playing School + 4 Clinics + 1 Laboratory + 1 Pharmacy to serve the district habitants with nominal fees, these fees will be used to cover the monthly expenses for the Hospitality guests.
- The second and third floors will contain: 14 bedrooms, Library, 2 Kitchens, Dining room, Living room, Nursery room, and a Computer class. |
