The Medical Laboratory Technicians Training School in Jinja needs to provide Computer Training to the students who are learning the knowledge and skills in modern medical laboratory technology which calls for computer literacy. Currently the School only has two computers for administrative purposes.
Currently the students have to write up their course work and dissertation by hand and then take them for commercial typing. The Ugandan Government has brought, into its hospitals, automated computerized diagnostic equipment to combat the increased demand for laboratory tests, especially in the management of HIV / AIDS patients, and the early detection of asymptomatic disease conditions.
The Rotary Club of Jinja is looking for assistance in obtaining modern computers and supporting equipment to enable the 360 students to become both computer literate as well as competent in the use of modern medical laboratory diagnostic equipment.
This project will include the planting of 150 fruit trees in the neighbourhood. |
