 Kolkata and neighbouring villages has many people who are unemployed and do not have a square meal a day. Rotary club of salt lake metropolitan aims to empower 100 women from poor villages of bengal district 3291 to start a vocation of mobile ironing service that can be taken to various locations. This shall provide sustainable income to feed a family of 6 each thus serving 6000 poor people. Each cart will have a fabricated dome shaped cover that shall protect the clothings from getting wet during rainy season.
As women are more sincere,the money earned shall be used to feed the children. We are sure the health of the children will improve and they shall in turn attend school increasing literacy levels . |
