 Rotary Club, Kangra, RI District 3070, India, wishes to donate Rotary Welfare Trust, Kangra District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh India, a Trauma care Ambulance for providing fast, free and safe emergency medical aid/help through provision of Highway Trauma Care Ambulance to all road accident victims of State Highway No 21 ( Connecting angrawith Pathankot and Mandi/Manali, National Highway No. 88 connecting Dharamshala to Shimla, state Capital City) within a radius of 20 - 25 kms where accidents are a regular phenomenon. The Trauma Care Ambulance shall also provide referral services to all road victims opting for availing better medical services at higher Medical Institute located in nearby cities of Chandigarh, Ludhiana and New Delhi. The ambulance Driver cum First Aider shall be provided with a Mobile/Cell Phone, the number of which shall be displayed on the State highway through Sign Board/Bill Board. More over Kangra City is a famous religious place in norther India and thousand of devotees pay visits Kangra by hired buses and other mode of transport. Due to hilly terrain the driver are not proper known to the road conditions. Currently there are no provision of Trauma Care ambulance on this entire state Highway No. 21 and this is a community requirement. On an average 50 - 60 road accident victims are expected to benefit from this project annually thus saving precious life. |
