School Comfort Room

Adequate toilets and washbasins are necessary to help reduce the risk of common illnesses, such as diarrhea and even cold and flu infections. These take a toll on the health of young children, particularly if they are undernourished. Due to inadequate comfort rooms, students are forced use toilets that are grossly unsanitary. The project will provide a decent two (2) comfort room (for Lerma and Kalookan Elementary School) with a toilet to pupil ratio of 1:750 and 1:1100 respectively. To provide a safe and healthy learning environment includes providing a adequate toilet and handwashing facilities. |
