Palliative Care

$150,000

We have just started a Palliative home care unit. A society where the old, sick and needy is not taken care of is uncivilised and uncultured. We must care for the elderly, sick and the destitute children. Patients facing life limiting illness as well as their families often confront physical, emotional, socio-economic and spiritual distress, which adversely affect the quality of their life. Rotary Club Palliative care provides 'Total Care' to the patient at their home environment through a 'Team Work Approach', incorporating not only various Medical Professionals but also Volunteers from the Community. We must provide adequate counselling to both the patient and the family, to empower the family to care for patients at home and work with the community to ensure social and spiritual support.

Medication and all the services such as Doctors Home Care, Nurses Home Care, Day Care and In-patient admission are only necessities to care for them and hence this grant request.
