Qala Safid School in Herat, Afghanistan, is being run by the community. The school was constructed as elementary school with 5 rooms by the community. It gives special attention to the education and health of females. The school is from play group to secondary (Matriculation). School is co-education system and total capacity of the school is 200 children. Rotary Club of Herat has adopted the school as its club project and plans to provide missing facilities to the school, such as school van for transportation of children, computers, furniture and stationery. The project will be completed within eight months after receipt of grant money.
