Lords Meade Vocational College opened in 2002 and currently caters for over 700 students, many of whom come from financially poor backgrounds. The Tofta Educational Trust is the parent body of the Vocational College, and it supports many of the needy students who are getting their education there.
The College is in need of a 30 seater minibus in order to facilitate the transportation of both students and staff, as currently the College has a small truck, but under the current law in Uganda students may not be transported in a truck.
The minibus will facilitate the daily collection and returning off staff to Jinja, some 5 miles away, as well as assist in the transportation of students to enable them to participate in educational tours and seminars as well as sporting meetings. |
