Atiira Secondary School is located in Soroti District in Eastern Uganda. It was started by the community in 1997 to help the children attain secondary education. The nearest secondary school is 14kilometres away. This made the drop out rate very high due to distance. The parents are too poor to afford education of the children in boarding schools. The school lacks teaching equipments and text books that would aid the teaching of science subjects, desks and laboratories. |
