Community Fire Fighting
$20,000
Project aims at providing a fire fighting engine truck and training of people in basic fire fighting methods in the community.
The need for a fire fighting engine was identified as a result of the inadequecy in fire brigade response to a spate of fire outbreaks in the recent past in the town of Jinja. We propose International sponsor club to provide a used fire fighting engine truck in kind and the requested grant of USD10000 as a contribution towards taxes and freight. Our Rotary club will be responsible for joint supervision with the local authorities in use of the fire engine and for initiating training of the community in fire fighting methods. | | |
