Provision School Necessities

$28,202

Lack of Infrastructure is the major obstacle in spreading education, which can be removed simply and effectively by providing them the items of their daily use such as Furniture, Computers, Notebooks, and Stationary etc. Office bearers of the Rotary Club of Farooqabad visited some different private and government schools, but two schools were selected for assistance through this Matching grant. These schools namely Government Elementary school Ratti Tibbi and Government Middle school Padianwala are providing free education. Provision of basic necessities will increase interest level of teachers as well as students, and will motivate students to perform better in their studies.

Dropped

This project has been dropped. This is probably due to the loss of contact with the Coordinating Club. Project listed for the 2009-10 Rotary Year.

Two selected schools were visited by members of Rotary Club of Farooqabad. Schools’ management was interviewed by three members of the club and the schools were found eligible for assistance. It would bring goodwill to the Rotary International. Some of the items will be provided to students while furniture will be provided to schools. The schools’ Education Committees will be responsible for the maintenance of furniture and other items provided through the proposed grant.
