This is a water harvesting tank project for 4 rural schools and 2 community centres located about 100kms from Kampla, and One school in the surbabs of Kampala. In total 7 water Harvesting Tanks. The five Schools are Universal Primary Schools which enroll children from and disadvantaged families. The community centres offer facilities for the community like meetings. Most of thse schools especially in rural areas depend on spring wells which at times are located very far from their schools /homes.The fact that the students/pupil have to trek long distances to fetch water means that they encroach on time for classes.
Provision of these water tanks will therefore go a long way in reducing the suffering of the community and will reduce on the water borne deseases, improve hygiene and alo avail the students and pupils adquate time for thier studies. |
