The grant budget will be used for the acquisition of specialized equipment for the integral education of the handicapped children.
The ptoject will take place in Cuernavaca, Morelos.The center receives new borns (45 days ) up to 25 years old, that present any handicap and/or problem in their development.The center handles 150 children approximately with different problems: diverse types of genetic syndromes, as well as with delays in the motor and languaje development, convulsive crises, intellectual disability, among many others. Most of the people attending this center are limited economical resources families.
Also the money will be used for developping teaching techniques (languaje and psycological support)As well as acquiring specialized pc, laptops and didactic material, all of them will support the acquisition of diverse curricular contents, through alternative systems that facilitate the learning of the student with disabilities. The intended beneficiaries will not only be the 150 students from this year, it will also be for the future generations. The staff who works in here are very conscious that this is an expensive material and they have been taking care of handmade tools. Thus the new material will make life easier for everybody and with better results from what they made by hand. We assure you that this project will serve for future handicapped generationsis. We estimate that over 1,000 children in 10 years time will be touched by this project. |
