Project seeks to provide rainwater harvesting facilities through the installation of 50 ten-thousand-liter water tanks for Rotary Community Corps of Kaazi-Busaabala covering four very low income zones with a total population of about 8,000 people. Tanks to be located at Schools, Health Clinics, Local chiefs'premises, places of worship and key elders' homes for purposes of easy access to the community.

Status and Progress Information

Dropped

This project has been dropped. This is probably due to the loss of contact with the Coordinating Club. Project listed for the 2010-11 Rotary Year.

The RCC is located in a rural zone by the lake side but without any source of clean water sources apart from the dirty lake water. The community residents are ready and willing to pay for the construction of the bases on which the tanks are to be placed and all to be supervised by the sponsoring Rotary Club.
