D-1725    Pakistan - Faisalabad Free School for poor children $21,500 The Rotary Public School Project was started in 1992 by Rotary Club of Faisalabad Janubi, to ptovide free education to the childrenof a most deserving group of community - the bonded labour working on brick kilns. This community can hardly think of or afford sending their offspring to schools. Instead they prefer that their children will assist them in making dough with their tender hands and add a meager amount of money to their income.160 students are now enjoying absolutely free education, uniforms and books. 5 teachers are employed already and more are needed. OUR CLUB WILL CONTINUE TO RUN/MAINTAINTHE SCHOOL AND ENHANCE THE FACILITIES & EDUCATIONAL STANDARD WITH THE HELP OF VOLUNTEERS FROM THIS LOCALITY AND OUR CLUB. SCHOOL COMMITTEE COMPRISES OF TWO FOUNDER CLUB MEMBERS AND SITTING PRESIDENT.
