 There are a lot of unemployed poor young and middle aged persons who don’t have any job or means of livelihood. A survey was conducted by RC Dehradun Central in Dehradun Town and it was decided on humanitarian grounds that an oppurtunity be given to these unemployed and poor persons to earn a decent living for themselves by plying cycle rickshaws in town and be self dependent and also support their families. This project will help the unemployed poor in becoming self employed. All the cycle rickshaws will carry RC Dehradun Central name and details of the project funded by TRF of the rotary international. A fringe benefit of the project will be reducing vehicle pollution as cycle rickshaws are totally non polluting. 200 cycle rickshaws will be donated to the identified poor unemployed persons through a co operating Organization/NGO/administration. |
