Lamwo district is still a newly created district from Kitgum district. At the moment they are operating from one of the sub counties premises. Its headquarter is still being planned and there is no adequate facilities like toilet/latrine, easy access to water point. Likewise Kitgum town council has a population of about 36,000-40,000 inhabitants with only one public toilet in the bus park.

This project if funded shall construct 3 public toilets: two in Lamwo district and one is Kitgum district to support the urban dwellers in these two towns, who measures about 90,000 persons.
