Surroundings of the Farooqabad are almost rural and people have no employment. The most families are living under the poverty lines. It is very important to provide support these families to make them a part of mainstream. Poverty is a basic fact to reduce the social development and increases the hunger, illiteracy, down fall in life status, and promote of social evils etc. How we can alleviate poverty? To provide education, to provide employment chances, to provide financial assistance, to provide small business or self employment etc. So, Rotary Club of Farooqabad Proposed a project to provide Rickshaws to the poor families through this Matching Grant project. The purpose of the "Zone 31-32 class project" is to spread the spirit of Rotary by

creating Rotary Community Corps (RCCs) in Pakistan D3270, and providing them with a source of

Permanent income. The matching grant will be used to purchase Rickshaws.

After the providing Rickshaws, it will make a big change in the lives of the villagers, they will have a source of permanent income and will have most rapid transportation source to approach nearby city or travelling anther villages. This project have very useful hidden opportunities and facilities to the beneficiaries and other villagers as sources of transportation will be increase, students who travel to their schools or colleges will have more speedy access to their institutions, villagers will have more quick approaches to the hospital when ambulance is not available etc.

Status and Progress Information

This project has been dropped. This is probably due to the loss of contact with the Coordinating Club. Project listed for the 2009-10 Rotary Year.

After the execution of the project and provision of the Rickshaws, the project will be maintain and own by the RCCs Concerned, a miner Dues will be charge from the families from their daily incomes to use the provided rickshaw, because they are very willing to pay it. the funds will be collect and to use to maintain the project. These funds will be served to maintenance of Rickshaws, and provide better education facilities to the children of the poor families. So it is very effective and wonderful idea to collection of funds to sustain the project and very applicable.
