The grant budget will be used to purchase hospital equipment for an Aeta hospital in Capas, Tarlac, Philippines.
A newly-built medical facility dedicated to the Aetas need essential medical equipment for it to be certified by the government. Two important equipments are anesthesia machine and an electrosurgical cautery machine.
These two vital operating room machines form part of the minimum requirement for government certification before they are given a license to operate. This hospital has a pending application for a license but even after months after it finished construction, it has remained inoperative because of the lack of equipment. |
