In three quarters of the 150 schools in the Nakuru School District, students at best share desks, chairs and lockers. In most cases, they sit on the floor to do their classwork. The situation was worsened by the effects of the 2008 post-election violence which displaced thousands of families making many internally displaced persons settle in refugee camps in Nakuru. This caused numbers of students to rise in the local schools hence the current problem.

5000 students in 65 schools in Nakuru District of Kenya will benefit from the new furniture.Process of teaching and learning will be improved through a conducive atmosphere created.
