The units were jointly sponsored by Rotary Bangalore Downtown and hospital. High quality Dialysis is provided at a rate of USD 15 per dialysis including all consumables and Nephrologists’ fees. 25000 ‘Dialysis’ Sessions performed since 4 years. Need : Having utilized to their maximum capacity round the clock since last 4 years the units in use have become obsolete and beyond repairable conditions. Only one unit is left out and was in use at the Intensive care unit . In order to avoid the successful and popular among the community project coming to halt, we need to continue to support the project and enable the beneficiary to continue its services to the community, the downtown needy community. Benefit to Beneficiary: The beneficiary will continue to support its services at affordable USD 15 per dialysis to the community. Also every 4 Paid Dialysis by a Patient will entitle him to a free dialysis. This is probably due to the loss of contact with the Coordinating Club. Project listed for the 2010-11 Rotary Year. As the Machines will be installed in the state of the Art P D Hinduja Sindhi Hospital & will be handled by Experienced Doctors and Technicians , it will be well maintained. In addition Annual Maintenance Contract by the Supplier will also be included. The beneficiary will be able to get the required units replacing the outdated non functioning units with the grant funding and will be able to sustain the load of current dialysis sessions.
