The Rotary Club of Nigdi, District 3131, is located in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). As of 2001 census, 1 million people reside in it spanning an area of 171 Sq. Km. It is located 191 Km from Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra.
Unfortunately in this corporation there is not a single public library of any repute catering to this large population. RC Nigdi thought it fit to take up a project with a small library in this region and upgrade it to global standards.
Vision for the Library:-
To develop the library of global standard, where everybody will be able to meet his books/knowledge need. It will use world class practices and will act as media for children, youth, women as well as others in their academic development and will also act as community center.
