	D-210    Uganda - Jinja Bore Hole $26,000 This project is aimed at providing a Bore Hole to the Lords Meade Vocational College in Njeru, which is about 5km from Jinja town. The Vocational College was set up in 2002 with the aim of providing secondary school education (ages 13-19+) for the less fortunate students. The current students include many children orphaned by AIDS, who are supported by the Tofta Educational Trust, which is the Foundation Body of the Vocational College. The College aims to have a student population of 500 students, both boys and girls. The bore hole will be used for supplementing the current commercial supply, which is proving a financial burden to the College. The financial savings that this project will bring will enable the College to keep the school fees at a lower level, hence enabling more less fortunate students to obtain secondary education. 500 students per year, plus the 30 members of staff will benefit from this project.
