So it identified cheranellur a village about 20 km from Cochin city for its area of operation. By way of donations of the members of the club, we were able to acquire 4.5 cents of land and have begun construction of a 3 storied building admeasuring 3000sq.ft. of built up area. The total cost of the project is US $ 40000/- of which club has put in US $ 20000/- for the land, necessary sanction, approvals and initial construction. Once the project is completed, we intend to register around 500 families who live around the project sight. They would be given Health cards, where in they are advised to visit the health centre once in two weeks, where they are examined by doctors, and medicines administered , free of cost. Campaign against mosquitos by way of spraying , use of repellants and mosquito nets is also envisaged. we indent to bring the people of the village together at the community centre once a month for food festivals, movie shows, cultural programs etc.
May we take this opportunity to request the rotary community to assist us in making the life of villagers of Cheranelloor happier than it was yesterday . The matching grant sought in US$ 20000/-. Do help in your own way byway sponsoring events and equipments. If so required we shall send you the detailed Project Report, with all title deeds, approved plan and related documents. Thank you
