The Shree parroha Parameshwor Lower Primary School in Ward 2, Parroha VDC of Lumbini Zone has classes from 1-7, and with 377 students: 200 hundred being girls. The school has In 13 rooms and classes are overcrowded, not furnished (cvhildren sit on floors) nor do they have proper teaching aids, besides the sanitary and water condition are found wanting. The children come from poor and backward families, and hardly can even buy pencils, books etc.. Although education is free at primary level but facilities are lacking and activities cannot be run prperly. Without a library the children also do not have access to information. Teacher training and incentives need to be addressed. In todays world access to the electronic communication will be a boon to the school that is planning to upgrade to class 8. The project therefore focusses on: Education Material, Training and incentive to Teachers, Furniture and Teaching aids, Improvements in Drinking Water and Sanitary Conditions, Management and Computer Lab.
