Parents of 95% of these children live under the poverty line and 90% belong to the Dalit Community (untouchables). Teacher student ratio is 1:70. Only two teachers get meagre government salaries and the rest are support from social groups like Rotary. The school located in the RCC of RC Butwal, whose members sponsor the education of 30 children at the school. The project is designed to support Safe drinking water because arsenic is found in the ground water here; the roofing in the classes leak, and even basic educational materials for the children are not there. |
