	D-2224    Thialand - PhranakhonSriAyuttha Newborn Child ICU Respirator $20,000 PROJECT: Newborn Children ICU(intensive care unit) Respirator BACKGROUND High medical technology in the form of medical equipment such as respiratory ventilator that was used when clinically respiratory failure, BPD is sequelly of premature lung Volume respirator is benefittial for improvement respiratory quality care for all newborn infant patients. So The pediatric department of Phranakorn sri Ayutthaya was taking care newborn infant patients that delivery about 6,000 cases/years.The patients, in the group of newborn infant that both are preterm and term as well as using ventilator referred from the nearby hospital in region.In the present, there are 8 beds which is not enough to service newborn infants and the hospital plans to have 10 beds in the future. The data of pediatric patients in NICU whom use respiratory ventilator was 254 cases in 2008, 198 cases in 2009 and 212 cases in 2010. OBJECTIVE To provide Newborn Children ICU(intensive care unit) Respirator 1 unit for Phanakorn sri Ayutthaya Hospital. TARGET GROUP Critical Newborn Children patients in Phranakorn sri Ayutthaya Province Thailand and the hospital in the network. LOCATION Neonatal intensive care unit and respiratory care unit Phranakorn sri Ayutthaya Hospital BUDGET The budget in 2011-2012 of District 3350 under matching grant project totally 20,000 us$ and we need from International partner ninimum 5,000 us$.(DDF prefer to cash) EXPECTED BENEFIT Critical patients will receive the safety care with non- complication and will have a good quality of life in the future.
