 The BUDGET will be used to purchase a TOYOTA DYNA 200 vehicle which will be used (after modifications to be made locally at Arc en ciel's expense in order to comply with World Health Organization norms) for the treatment of “Risk Infectious Hospital Waste” (RIHW).
Arc En Ciel is a well-known humanitarian organization that employs handicapped persons in priority for its administrative and handy work activities. It has developed a network for such waste treatment, in cooperation with the ministries of Health and Environment. They have also organized a program to sensibilize for the recycling of plastic (pvc).
These activities require an intensive transport service therefore the need for this vehicle.
The PROJET WILL TAKE PLACE in Beirut, Lebanon.
Will BENEFIC from the projet the "environment" in priority as well as the "public health" because the infectious hospital waste will be properly treated instead of being thrown with the common garbage. |
