Background: In March 2012, the Mayor of Balasinesti village approached Rotary Chisinau Cosmopolitan with the request to assist the village kindergarten and village school (with over 300 pupils) with their water supply.
A delegation consisting of three club members visited the village, its school and kindergarten to perform a needs assessment. They confirmed that the village school and kindergarten lack running water. The school cantina is in disrepair and the kindergartens kitchen requires urgent renovation.
On the basis of this assessment two small-scale projects were formulated: a water project and a cantina renovation project.
Project description: This project aims renovate the cantina of the village school and the kitchen in the kindergarten and install a new boiler (detailed technical description is available).
