In October 2003, the Headmaster of the Nana Wiafe Methodist Vocational School and the Bishop of the Methodist Church, Mpraeso, wrote a letter the Rotary Club of Accra Ring Road Central seeking assistance to equip the only vocational school on the Kwahu Ridge, which serves a large section of the Kwahu Ridge and Afram Plains communities of about seven hundred thousand people.
The requirements are for vocational equipment and text books for vocational and post basic continuing education. The school would be grateful for used equipment if that is more readily available than new equipment.
The provision of these equipments will facilitate teaching and learning of vocational skills for which the school was established, particularly the provision of the necessary practical tuition. This is the only facility of its kind in the district and will bring the provision of vocational equipment closer to the community.
