Mobile Dispensary

Multipurpose mobile dispensary cum ambulance.Many slum areas do not have a dispensary at walking distance and doctor patient ratio may be even more than 1 against 50000 persons. This dispensary will move from one slum to other providing OPD and dispencing medicines. From these areas the critical patients will also be promptly moved to specilised medicare centres to save many lives. Over a period of 1 year the figure of benefishries will be approx 1,00,000 slum dwellers. This Mobile dispensary cum ambulance will also be used as disaster relief van which can be used in case of Natural calmity like Earth Quake,Floods and some other disaster like train accident etc. The estimate time to complete the project will be within 60 days of receipt of grant.

Dropped

This project has been dropped. This is probably due to the loss of contact with the Coordinating Club. Project listed for the 2009-10 Rotary Year.

The TRF Staff in charge of this grant is Julia clark (julia.clark@rotary.org).

The host partner will maintain the ambulance cum mobile dispensary, make financial contribution towards share of the cost, provide medical and paramedical experts from its members and maintain public relations to facilitate contacts with community to be served.

International partner will contribute part of the cost of ambulance as per TRF norms and may also send volunteers to participate in the on going projects.
