This project will consist of 25 Computer pieces, 25 Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), tables and chairs, 5 printers and 5 Generators to five Secondary Schools in Lagos.
Five (5) Computers would be given to each of the above named schools. The Students in these Schools are ones from the Low-economic class who are thus greatly disadvantaged will benefit greatly from this project with secondary benefits to the community and the world at large through emancipation and empowerment that computer literacy affords. Even teachers in these schools many of whom are yet to be computer literate would also benefit. The estimated Population of the Five Schools is about 15,000 Students.
The project will be completed within three months of availability of funds since the space to be used has already been provided by each schools concerned.
The Supervisory Education District of the Lagos State will provide and pay the salaries of the Computer Teachers in each School. The Schools management will see to the maintenance of the computers and Rotary Club of Gbagada South will occasionally visit each school to see how effectively and perfectively the computers are been put to use. |
