Pledge Support for a Project

If your club or district is interested in partnership in a Matching Grant you can pledge support for a project on this site. Pledging support indicates that your club/district is willing to commit funds towards the project as well as participate and communicate with the partners for the project's duration. You can pledge support for the full amount needed, or for a partial amount. When pledging support for a project, you should not send any money. Pledging support only indicates that your club or district is willing to do a Matching Grant project through The Rotary Foundation. The funding for the project will be sent to The Rotary Foundation after the paperwork has been submitted and the grant has been approved, as it is done for every Matching Grant.

Clubs who did not submit a final or progress report in due time for previous Matching Grant projects are earmarked as "delinquent" and are not allowed to participate in new projects until the needed report(s) are completed. By pledging support for a project on this site, you ensure us that your Club is not delinquent in reporting for any of its previous projects.

If you pledge support for the full amount needed, the project status will change to "Fully Funded", and a notification email will be sent to the person who posted the project. It will then be time to complete a Matching Grant application and communicate with your project partners to implement details. Partnership is very important and Matching Grants will only be approved unless examples of communication and participation are defined for both the host and international partners. The application information and tips can be found in the Grant Paperwork section of this website. We will not provide additional help to complete your application. The use of this website does not replace in any way the application process that needs to be done with The Rotary Foundation.

To pledge support for a project, go to the project description page, and click on the "Pledge Support for this Project" button. You will be asked to fill your contact information, and the amount of your pledge. The project page will be updated accordingly.

If you decide later to withdraw support for a project, please let us know by email by replying to one of the administrative notification emails so that we can update the project page and restore the project to the relevant status.
