New Confidence School is a school with a population of 120 students per day. These children live in the rice fields and their parents are rice farmers in the Province of Takeo. Children attend state school for their basic education. The school will provide extra curriculum not cover by the state school but necessary for furthering their education for better job opportunities in the future. Parents are not financially able to provide any of the school materials as their income is only $3.00 per day on average. The school services children 8 to 19 years old. Children will receive computer literacy, English and music which is not provided by state schools. Classes will be in English. This grant will provide rent for 12 months, school supplies, school furniture, computer equipment, books, water filters, fans, internet service. At the moment children seat on the floor in an open building and the classroom has a temperature of over 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
