Project Description Country: USA Location: Holdrege, NE Total Budget: $1,250 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Community Development: Volunteer Services Summary: L2 for Kids seeks to provide under privileged children with new clothes for school, helping to increase their self-esteeem and well-being through the local churches in an effort to show them Christ's love. L2 for Kids is the secondary project for the Holdrege Rotary Club. L2 for Kids has identified children in the community that need new clothes for the first day of school. Mount Calvary Church in Holdrege will be facilitating this project by accepting monetary donations, then arranging for children to select their clothing. Children who feel good about themselves and their appearance exude confidence, thus promoting success and accomplishment. The timeline for this project is the spring, summer, and fall of 2017. All funds for the project will be used to purchase clothing for children in need. Holdrege Rotarians may accompany children to make their purchases as well as helping Mount Calvary Church identify children in need in the community. The more funds that are raised, the more clothing that can be purchased for children.
